Mineral lick blocks

Here you will see me putting out a lick block for the antelopes. This lick blocks helps the animals to get more nutrition and vitamins in. We put these in allocated places to target species of antelopes. When we put the block out we remove the box that it is in so that the animals can see and smell it easier.

This specific lick block is placed near a dam and the reason for that is as you see there is like a boma made with branches around it. The reason for this is we made a entrance with a pressure plate that sprays tick poison called Amipor. The way we make this whole process work is by putting salt lick outside the entrance  so by doing this we let them lick the salt and they get thirsty and then they walk over the pressure plate get sprayed by the tick poison, then they go and drink water go back eat of the mineral block and get sprayed again when they go back.

There is two sprayer nozzles one on top and one on the bottom this is for different sizes of animals.
